Why Space? Humans have been to the moon and the sky is crowded with satellites. What more is there to do? Why should Sweden invest in more Space activities?

This seminar will delve into both the hard and soft values of Space activities with a focus on future growth potential for Swedish enterprises and entrepreneurs. Expert presentations will be interspersed by contributions from inspired students.

• Celebrated astronaut Christer Fuglesang is the new Head of the Science and Application Division of ESA – what new opportunities for development lay ahead?
Christophe Lasseur heads MELiSSA, one of the world’s most advanced life support systems initiatives for longterm human spaceflight – how can Sweden contribute and reap benefits in the form of earth applications?
• Sweden built the first European spacecraft that flew to the moon –
Sven Grahn, Senior Advisor at the Swedish Space Corporation, asks what’s next for Sweden’s cutting-edge industries and engineers?

Come prepared with questions for our prominent speakers, listen to a discussion, moderated by editor Joanna Rose, about why we should or shouldn’t invest in certain endeavours and become inspired by the young
generation who are ready to take the lead!

Welcome!
