Transport 2030 - in English
Sweden’s societal development and competitiveness are dependent on having an efficient transport system. The flow of goods and people to, from and within the country must be made cost-effective and efficient while paying attention to factors such as the environment, safety and security.
Sweden has invested less than other countries in its transport system over the past few years and, as a result, the infrastructure today is not adequately developed and parts of it are not being property maintained.
Important transport links have capacity problems and there are all too many bottlenecks resulting in vulnerabilities in the system. Sweden faces several major challenges in improving the transport system for the future. No single player can solve these problems; what is needed is broad-based collaboration.
