Sweden needs more engineers


Access to the right talent is a key factor for Sweden’s future competitiveness.  

There is expected to be a shortage of half a million engineers in Europe by 2020. And many of Sweden’s employers need to be able to employ talented engineers if they are to remain successful in the future.

We need to increase interest among young people in applying to study for an engineering degree. We also need to motivate students to graduate more quickly and reduce the drop-out rate.
