IVA South and IVA West

IVA South and IVA West are two groups of members of IVA and the Business Executives Council who live or work in southern or western Sweden.

The objective of IVA South and IVA West is to bring IVA’s activities into the regions and give IVA a regional presence by creating meeting places – usually Lund and Gothenburg – where members can follow the progress of and provide input for IVA’s important projects in their home regions, and where they can focus on engineering, economic and industry issues specific to southern or western Sweden with an IVA perspective.

The main activities of IVA South and IVA West are seminars arranged for the members and for specially invited guests. The seminars are in the form of information and discussion meetings, project presentations, visits to companies and institutions and work groups organised to focus on specific issues.

A Steering Committee is responsible for the activities. The Committee consists of a chairman, two vice chairmen and 3–5 other members, appointed from among the members of IVA South and IVA West respectively.
