Royal Technology Mission (RTM)
Since 1984, at the initiative of H.M. the King, IVA has organised a Royal Technology Mission (RTM) almost every year. The RTMs take place with the participation and oversight of H.M. the King and under the leadership of IVA’s Chairman.
RTMs are arranged for a delegation of top Swedish business leaders and high-level representatives from academia. The purpose of the missions is to forge new contacts that may, over time, lead to a greater exchange of ideas and commercial opportunities. H.M. the King’s active participation has made it possible to visit companies and research institutions that otherwise rarely open their doors to foreign guests.
Visits to the host country’s business and research institutions are well prepared and tailored to the delegates on the mission. The missions have become very important for Sweden’s research and industrial exchange with other countries.
