Adapting robots to the human body

Today’s society has been built around human functions and it’s important to adapt robots to that, instead of building a parallel society for robots.

“The main reason why robots resemble humans is that we want to use robotics to mimic various human functions but not make them actually look like humans,” says Professor Danica Kragic of the Royal Institute of Engineering (KTH). Today’s society has been built around human functions, and it’s important to adapt robots to that, instead of building a parallel society for robots.

The interview with Professor Danica Kragic was recorded in connection with the Royal Technology Forum, IVA’s gift to H.M. the King on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
