The project Innovation in the Forest Industry continues to explore the theme of innovation and is arranging a seminar centred around innovative environments. Innovative environments are necessary to stimulate innovation in existing and new value chains. They are also essential for the creation of world-leading companies.
Innovative environments exist in various forms in today’s forest industry, but their structure does not always promote the right dynamics between the market and industry. By taking a broader perspective on innovative environments, big corporations can achieve more of the agility of the small entrepreneur.
At this seminar the project Innovation in the Forest Industry wants to offer a toolbox to use for optimum management of innovative environments and to show how companies can get the most out of them. There is no template for what an innovative environment should look like; it is important to adapt them according to needs, contexts and goals. We want to provide a national and international insight into the benefits of innovative environments, offer examples of innovative environments in the forest industry today and present possible scenarios for tomorrow.
