Dialogue Dinner on EU’s future competitiveness

On the 1st of January 2023, Sweden will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and one of the first official meetings to take place in Sweden will be the Director Generals for EU Affairs’ Meeting in January. Prior to the meeting, IVA is honoured to host the Director Generals’ dinner on the evening of the 19th of January.

Chair of IVA, Marcus Wallenberg and President Tuula Teeri are honoured to invite you to a Dialogue Dinner on the Union’s competitiveness and sustainable development. 

The dinner will be attended by the Member states’ Director Generals for EU Affairs, representatives from the Council of the European Union and the European Commission as well as selected IVA fellows and members of IVA’s Business Executives Council.

Procedures will begin at 18:00 hrs with a gathering and a welcome remark. The rest of the programme is as follows:

18.30: A panel discussion on EU's future competitiveness between Tuula Teeri, professor and IVA president, and the IVA fellows Magnus Berggren, professor of organic electronics at Linköping University, director of WISE, Filip Johnsson, professor at the Department of Space, Geo and Environmental Sciences, Chalmers and Virginia Dignum, professor of computer science, Umeå University, program director WASP-HS.

19:00: The audience is invited to join the conversation under the direction of moderator Eric Sundström.

19:30 – 22:00: Dinner will provide the perfect opportunity to continue the discussion on the Union’s competitiveness and sustainable development.
