Mentor4Innovation is based on best practice from many years of experience gained in IVA’s much-appreciated Mentor4Research programme and has been developed and adapted for Wallenberg Academy Fellows researchers. Based on the interests and long-term goals of each researcher, the programme offers different innovation focus areas – from Societal Impact to Commercialisation.

Innovation-oriented mentors with the relevant background, experience and personal network are recruited for this prestigious programme based on each researcher’s individual needs and focus areas.

Mentor4Innovation is an annual programme for Wallenberg Academy Fellows. The first round was in 2016/2017 and it is now a much-appreciated programme. Researchers go through a thorough interview process during the spring after which mentors are hand-picked for them. The programme, which runs for just under a year, begins in the autumn and concludes with a workshop for the researchers late the following spring.

Wallenberg Academy Fellows is a multi-year investment in promising young people conducting research at Swedish universities. Every year 25 to 30 researchers are selected for this exclusive programme. For more information, see the Wallenberg Academy Fellows website
