Research2Business (R2B) is a long-term programme of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) to promote cooperation between researchers and the business community to improve Sweden’s competitiveness in an international and sustainable perspective. R2B is establishing new meetingplaces to facilitate cooperation and new interfaces between academic research and industry.
R2B Summit is an annual event at IVA where the spotlight is on fruitful gains from the knowledge at our universities. A selection of researchers and research teams meet representatives from the private and public sectors at IVA.
Every year IVA’s Research2Business project arranges the R2B Summit. The purpose is to create the right conditions for researchers and businesses to launch new partnerships and develop new forms of cooperation.
Mentoring for researchers
IVA has developed a mentoring programme which is now continuing in an updated format within Research2Business. It is based on experience gained from IVA’s Mentor4Research project. The goal is to create a successful concept where researchers can be involved in knowledge development and also strengthen their networks.
R2B is gathering knowledge about the impact and potential of students in: “How we can increase cooperation between students, researchers and businesses to make better use of Swedish research where the students are an asset.”
Communication and cooperation
In the R2B project local and regional forces meet to work at a national level towards a common objective to support Sweden in becoming a leader in turning academic research into innovation and commercial competitiveness.
