The project started in 2009 with representatives for stakeholders in the transport system developing a common vision for the future: “Sustainable Mobility 2030.”
In 2010 a number of large projects in progress were identified that had the potential to be developed into demonstration environments for actions of national significance required to establish new solutions for the transport system. The project also identified areas for entirely new development initiatives.
The project’s most important proposal was for the creation of a forum for strategic development of the transport sector with the long-term objective of driving development towards sustainable mobility.
Cooperation in different national and international forums creates opportunities to develop transport solutions which, on a global scale, can help significantly reduce environmental threats, improve individual prosperity and strengthen business competitiveness.
