Johan Söderström, Managing Director of ABB Sweden is a new member of the Executive Body of the Business Executives Council within the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Johan Söderström has been a member of IVA’s Division II Electrical Engineering since 2013.
“IVA is a very important player in addressing issues that the business sector is facing, such as digitisation, sustainability and talent supply,” said Johan Söderström, a new member of IVA’s Business Executives Council. “It is an honour to work actively with the Executive Body, fellow Academy members and the talented IVA employees on driving the development of research that will create opportunities for Sweden.”
Johan Söderström is replacing Hans Stråberg who left the Business Executives Council’s Executive Body at the beginning of the year.
“We are delighted to have Johan – who has an impressive background in industry – as part of our team. Johan also has a strong passion for and commitment to social issues,” says Eva Hamilton, Chairman of IVA’s Business Executives Council.
The Business Executives Council has about 260 member organisations that support IVA’s activities and objectives. The breadth of expertise and the strong foothold in industry that IVA has through the Business Executives Council are essential for the work the Academy does. The Business Executives Council enables member companies to take an active part in IVA’s activities, while improving their own knowledge and impacting IVA’s focus issues. The Business Executives Council’s Executive Body has nine members. They include Magdalena Gerger and Jonas Wiström.
