Applying such solutions is important in the energy transition where electric grids are enabling the de-carbonisation and our dependency on gas, coal and oil. Grid enhancing technologies based on digital solutions facilitate the use of grid assets closer to its physical limits with adequate reliability thus increasing grid capacity.
In addition to the examples from implementation of grid enhancing technologies, incentives for the use of such smart solutions will be discussed based on a comparison with Sweden and Norway regulations.
