We are now in a moment where the intersection of science, technology, and data sciences are driving an accelerated pace at which future medical advances are discovered and delivered. This includes the promise of editing the human genome when wrongly written, small molecules that degrade versus blocking targets, biological advances with multiple mechanisms in one drug, early intervention or prevention in increasing number of diseases and using artificial intelligence (AI) and big medical data sets for interpretation. This exciting and promising convergence could yield transformational discoveries for human health, putting potential cures and treatments within the grasp of many people living with diseases.
