The cloud infrastructure is critical to enable AI and capture the IoT data. However, the short latency constraints of emerging timing-critical applications require a more distributed architecture with computation nodes at the edge of the network, close to the source of data. This architecture is called fog computing.
Sweden is continuously enhancing innovations in area of smart cities, homes, and businesses and is well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities offered by AI, IoT, fog and cloud. But how do we compare to the Silicon Valley and the emerging technology trends enabled at the intersection of AI and IoT? What impact has the cultural differences?
In this seminar, we will present AI and IoT technology trends, opportunities and challenges, state-of-the-art sustainable cloud architecture of leading companies, like Google and Amazon, and discuss possible solutions to redefine the role of Sweden in emerging technological advancement.
