Plastic recyclability and circular economy

Welcome to an online conference on the subject of plastics in a circular economy hosted by the French Embassy in Stockholm, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra), through the research programme Sustainable Plastics and Transition Pathways (STEPS), and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).

The webinar on 4 October will be displayed above (the image turns into a player when it is time). The times are shown in CET.

The French-Nordic conference on the subject of plastics in a circular economy is a chance for researchers and participants to expand their network or/and research scope. Researchers have been invited to briefly present their work on specific topics such as green building blocks for plastics of the future, design of plastics for circular economy and emerging recycling technologies. It’s an opportunity to identify partners, create multidisciplinary teams and be competitive for European projects from the Horizon Europe calls, while strengthening the collaboration between France and the Nordic countries.

During the first day of the conference, ongoing initiatives like the European Plastic Pact and Horizon Europe calls are being presented, to explore opportunities for further collaborations and research projects. This is followed by scientific sessions, with brief presentations by researchers. Day one is a webinar broadcasted from IVA.

Register in advance for 4 October on the button above.

5 October - Second Day of the Conference

The second day of the conference is a zoom-conference broadcasted from KTH. The day starts with a scientific session with brief presentations by researchers, followed by a panel discussion on plastic recycling. Register in advance for 5 October here.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the webinar.
