IVA Research Table – from research to the next step
How can promising research take the next step towards application, collaboration and commercial impact?

At the IVA Research Table, researchers from IVA’s List for Research Impact 2026 meet with specially invited guests from industry, academia and IVA’s network for in-depth, solution-oriented discussions.
The research projects are grouped around four thematic tables: Health, Medtech & Diagnostics; Bioinnovation, Pharma, Food & Nature; AI, Digital & Autonomous Systems; and Industrial, Climate & Advanced Materials.
The researchers give brief presentations on their projects and the opportunities, obstacles and choices they face. The focus then shifts to the round-table discussion: What is needed for the research to move forward? Which assumptions need to be tested? What collaborations, expertise and contacts are required for the next step?
The IVA Research Table is not a traditional seminar. The format is based on small, hand-picked groups and an open discussion where different experiences and perspectives come together. The aim is for participants to leave the table with a clearer picture of the way forward – and, ideally, a new contact, introduction or concrete action to build on.
