Europe's security landscape is being reshaped in real time. Russia's invasion of Ukraine did not only alter the strategic balance in Europe — it accelerated a historic shift in the Nordic region. For the first time in modern history, Sweden and Finland are full members of NATO, fundamentally transforming security cooperation across Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea region, and the Arctic.
What does this mean for NATO, and how are Sweden and Finland being integrated into the Alliance? What new challenges and opportunities now face Europe and the transatlantic partnership?
To explore these questions, IVA is honoured to welcome three distinguished military leaders who have played central roles in this transformation.
The seminar is a collaboration between the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences (KKrVA).
