Report: Advanced manufacturing

Every lorry that rolls out of Gothenburg. Every fighter aircraft that takes off from Linköping. Every industrial robot assembled in Västerås. Advanced manufacturing is today one of Sweden’s most important assets – a world-class sector that employs hundreds of thousands of people and accounts for a significant share of Sweden’s export revenues. But international competition is intensifying. A new report from Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences shows what Sweden needs to do to maintain its lead in an increasingly competitive world.

Resource Effectiveness and the Circular Economy

The Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation should be given responsibility to establish a national strategy to make Sweden a world leader in resource effectiveness and circularity. This is one of the messages communicated in this final report from a project of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA).

Textiles – from waste to resource by 2030

Många tekniklärare i Sveriges grundskolor saknar grundläggande förutsättningar för att bedriva undervisning av hög kvalitet. Bristen på tekniksalar, stora elevgrupper och begränsade resurser för materialinköp riskerar att påverka undervisningens kvalitet och försvåra genomförandet av vissa praktiska moment.

FoU-barometern 2025

För första gången bedömer forsknings- och utvecklingschefer att företagens forskningsverksamhet kommer att växa mer i Sverige än utomlands. Samtidigt är betyget för den svenska forsknings- och innovationspolitiken lågt i förhållande till hur viktig den anses vara. Det visar IVAs FoU-barometer, som genomförts årligen sedan 2019.

ICT for SWEDEN - Så blir Sverige en ledande internetnation

Slutrapport från IVA-projektet Ambient Sweden (2009–2010), med syftet att både säkra och flytta fram Sveriges positioner inom framtidens internet. FoU-barometern 2022

Företag uppger att de har allt svårare att hitta personal till forskning och utveckling (FoU). Särskilt utmanande är det att hitta mjukvaruutvecklare och ingenjörer inom elektrifiering. Men på det stora hela har Sverige ett bra klimat för att bedriva forskning och utveckling. Det visar IVAs FoU-barometer 2022, som är den fjärde i ordningen.
