  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Few companies are adequately prepared for digital disruption. The 4Boards.ai research aims to create actionable insights for participating organisations and in parallel develop research-based knowledge and a set of best practices to enable boards to successfully govern and leverage AI in their innovation and sustainability efforts across the four levels of corporate governance activity: processes, competences, tasks, and value creation.

IVA’s 100 List 2019 - From knowledge to competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2019 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme From knowledge to competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
