The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

A meeting place for Sweden's future

IVA believes in humanity’s capacity to contribute positively to society through the engineering and economic sciences. We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

A Digital Twin of an Organization (DTO) digitally represents an organization's assets, enabling continuous simulation and analysis for optimization. With DTOs, organizations experience enhanced decision-making, process optimization, and increased innovation capacity for a sustainable future. However, developing a DTO is a grand challenge as it is a complex, cumbersome, and long-running process that requires huge investments.

ALADINO provides a pragmatic, step-by-step methodology (along with supporting tools) for developing DTOs, mapping organizational assets into the DTO, and enabling cost-benefit analysis at each step. Unlike other DTO solutions that are context-dependent and challenging to adapt, ALADINO offers a flexible methodology, readily applicable across diverse domains.

In future projects, we will further develop our methodology and tools to integrate AI/ML. We actively seek relevant collaborating organizations to join our journey.
