I vår forskning utvecklas ett biologiskt nedbrytbart förpackningsmaterial från en vedfiberbaserad högutbytesmassa (HYP). Materialet kännetecknas främst av en hög våtstyrka, vilket innebär att det kan ersätta plast i många produkter. Vid tillverkning av HYP är vedutbytet mycket högt (över 90%) i jämförelse med tillverkning av kemiska massor (vedutbyte 50%). En begränsad vedråvara kan därmed utnyttjas maximalt effektivt för tillverkning av våtstarka förpackningsmaterial.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
