  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Bränsleceller drivs av vätgas och kompletterar batterier för drift av elfordon och i andra applikationer. Vi har utvecklat en ädelmetallfri katalysator för bränsleceller för att ersätta den dyrbara och sällsynta ädelmetallen platina som dagens bränsleceller är beroende av. Patent har godkänts i sju länder och bolaget Celcibus AB etablerats för vidareutveckling och kommersialisering. Målet är att erbjuda en billigare och miljövänligare bränslecell. Nu utvärderas en första prototyp i full skala.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
