  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

  IVA has initiated the vision project Swedish Futures with the aim of developing an overarching vision for Sweden as a a world-leading country of technology and innovation by 2035, with a focus on competitiveness, sustainability, and security.

Denna plattform möjliggör för personer med diabetes att ta makten över sin egenvård och hälsa. Den digitala vårdplanen i form av en app utgår från patientens behov och gör det möjligt att dela information om mål, behandling, planerade aktiviteter och utfall mellan patient och vårdgivare. Tjänsten har utvecklats i samarbete mellan patient, vård och forskning och används på flera vårdcentraler.

IVA’s 100 List 2019 - From knowledge to competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2019 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme From knowledge to competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
