We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. GreenGrids-Flex provides the flexible grid infrastructure to be ready for power grid evolution for decarbonization. It integrates electricity from intermittent production from wind and solar power. It proposes a novel Virtual Power Plant composed of multiple distributed Energy Management Systems, each built for optimizing the use of renewable energy resources and battery energy storage. This improves the resource value, electrical grid reliability, and electric power system flexibility.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
