  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

  IVA believes in humanity’s capacity to contribute positively to society through the engineering and economic sciences. We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

GreenIoT utvecklar ett miljösensorsystem och en tillämpningsplattform som gör det möjligt för såväl offentlig sektor som privata aktörer att utveckla tillämpningar för hållbar stadsutveckling, baserade på öppen data från sensorer. Det gör sensordata tillgängliga för tex myndigheter att fatta beslut rörande samhälls- och trafikplanering. Det skapar också möjligheter för medborgare att fatta gröna beslut i sin vardag. GreenIoT manifesteras i form av en testbädd med luftkvalitetsmätning i gatumiljö i Uppsala.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
