  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

Gröna cellfabriker utgår från fotosyntesen, naturens process att från solenergi och koldioxid växa och bilda biomassa. I vår forskning utnyttjar vi den förmågan men istället för att växa så modifierar vi cellerna så att de bildar en vald produkt - varje enskild cell blir en mikrofabrik. Solceller bildar elektricitet, gröna cellfabriker bildar kemikalier. Båda utgår från solenergi, i gröna cellfabriker tillsammans med CO2 som då ersätter tex fossila källor.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
