  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Sedan 1990-talet har företags försök att förbättra villkoren i globala leverantörskedjor via uppförandekoder och kontroller i huvudsak misslyckats. Projektet studerar om innovativa nya hållbarhetsinititiv med tydligare "business case" för leverantörer kan vara mer effektiva och, i så fall, hur dessa kan skalas upp. Projektet utmanar företags idag dominerande sätt att arbeta med hållbarhet i leverantörskedjor och bidrar till omställning mot aktiviteter som gör verklig skillnad för såväl arbetare som miljö.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
