  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

Kiselalger står för 20% av atmosfärens syre och deras skal av kiseldioxid (glas) har en unik nanoporös struktur. Utbytet av näringsämnen och koldioxid sker genom porerna, samtidigt renas havsvatten. När ljus passerar porerna avskärmas UV-strålning och ljusvåglängder förskjuts mot längre våglängder. Tillsammans med Swedish Algae Factory undersöker jag hur detta kan användas för miljövänlig, hållbar industriell teknik med tillämpning inom bland annat solceller/solpaneler, allt enligt målen i FN:s Agenda 2030.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
