  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

  IVA has initiated the vision project Swedish Futures with the aim of developing an overarching vision for Sweden as a a world-leading country of technology and innovation by 2035, with a focus on competitiveness, sustainability, and security.

KTH Live-In Lab är en unik plattform för accelererad innovation i samhällsbyggnadssektorn och för samverkan mellan akademi och näringsliv. KTH Live-In Lab driver flertalet testbäddar i verkliga miljöer för test och forskning av ny teknik och nya metoder. Syftet är att förkorta ledtiderna från forskningsresultat till introduktion på marknaden och möjliggöra att nya konkurrenskraftiga miljötekniska och hållbara produkter och tjänster snabbare når ut till marknaden.

IVA’s 100 List 2021 - Sustainable crisis preparedness

IVA’s 100 List 2021 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable crisis preparedness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
