  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. För att bekämpa vektorburna sjukdomar släpper man idag ut ca 4000 ton pesticider bara i EU. Bekämpningen är kostsamt och skadlig för miljön och andra insekter.

Molecular Attractions affärsidé är att bekämpa vektorburna sjukdomar på det mest hållbara och miljövänliga sättet. Vi använder oss av fagostimulanter och feromon för att på så sätt kontrollera myggpopulationer. Våra produkter är världens första myggstimulanter, dvs de lockar endast till sig mygg. Vår patentsökta teknologi har publicerats i bland annat Science och Nature.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 - Technology in the Service of Humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
