  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. En smart nanoteknikbaserad vattenreningsteknik har utvecklats på KTH som ett led i att hantera den globala bristen på rent vatten. Tekniken är ren, miljövänlig, och energisnål. Den är väl anpassad för cirkulär ekonomi och decentraliserad vattenrening driven av förnybara energikällor. Forskningen har lett till företagen Stockholm Water Technology AB som nu kommersialiserar tekniken och skalar upp mot massproduktion.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
