Vår forskning har visat att en grupp immunreglerande oligonukleotider binder till cellers yta och förhindrar upptag av vissa ämnen som ger inflammation. Dessutom stängs dörren för flertalet virus som använder denna port för att infektera celler. Detta betyder att vår behandling syftar till att selektivt dämpa inflammation och bromsa virusinfektion. TIRmed fokuserar på att utveckla en kräm för behandling av hudsjukdom och en spray för behandling av tex influensa.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
