  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Avbildning av hjärnan med magnetkamera kan visa på förändringar i hjärnan kopplade till sjukdomar som Alzheimers och epilepsi. Vår forskning inom bildanalys och kvantitativ anatomi har lett till utvecklandet av mjukvaror baserade på maskininlärning, Pincram och MAPER, som kan kvantifiera förändringar i hjärnan och därmed stöda radiologens bildtolkning. Pincram och MAPER erbjuds som open source och vi söker nu samarbeten för nyttiggörande, t.ex. vidareutveckling till bildanalystjänster för kliniskt bruk.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
