Recycling and remanufacturing

of indium based semiconductor materials.

IVAs 100-lista 2022

You are reading this text looking through a transparent conductive material called indium tin oxide (ITO). It is used in electronic screens and also solar cells as a thin coating on the surface. During the manufacturing of these devices, 30 - 70% of the material becomes production waste. Indium is critical raw material. In the technology, the recycling of this waste is integrated into the reproduction process of ITO material which is a CO2 emission-free process and reduces the processing stages.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 - Technology in the Service of Humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.

Named contact persons for each research project on the 100 List are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented.
