  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Vår innovation kopplar automatiskt fysiska miljöer mot digitala modeller (BIM) vilket möjliggör interaktiv visualisering av digital information som hologram i den byggda miljön, vilket kan användas för smart planering, konstruktion, styrning och underhåll av fastigheter.

Teknologin bygger på en unik maskininlärnings-algoritm (artificiell intelligens) som från dataströmmen från en HoloLens eller mobiltelefon identifierar och positionerar detaljer såsom väggar, dörrar och fönster. Fullt utvecklad kommer vi att kunna matcha objekt i rummet med objekt tillgängliga i databaser såsom BIM Objects.

IVA’s 100 List 2019 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme From knowledge to competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
