SatEllite NavigaTion Receiver securitY (SENTRY)

Enhanced, easy to deploy receivers that detect and mitigate GNSS attacks. Secure and privacy preserving tools to identify affected areas and localise GNSS attackers.

IVAs 100-lista 2023

Problem: Smartphones, cars, trucks, boats, large machinery, containers, all have global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) receivers to provide position (and time) information to users, drivers, skippers, or logistics systems. However, jamming and spoofing GNSS is getting easier: denying reception or forging GNSS signals to mislead the victim receiver(s) and dictate the victim position (and time).

Solution: Enhanced, easy to deploy receivers that detect and mitigate GNSS attacks. Secure and privacy preserving tools to identify affected areas and localise GNSS attackers.

Benefit: Fast detection and trustworthy, even if less accurate, position (and time) until the victim is no longer under a GNSS attack. Much improved cyber and physical security and safety.

Action: Deploy and prevent or reduce the impact of attacks and remove attackers.

IVA’s 100 List 2023 - Technology in the service of humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2023 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity within in climate change, energy supply, welfare technology, cybersecurity and crisis preparedness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.

Named contact persons for each research project on the 100 List are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented.
