  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Utveckling av datorers processorkraft ökar dramatiskt och ställer höga krav på effektiv minneslagring. Några få aktörer har idag kontroll över processorutvecklingen genom att de äger och kontrollerar processorarktitekturer. Chalmers med avknoppningsbolaget ZeroPoint Technologies utvecklar teknologier för datorers internminne som är snabbare och mindre energikrävande och utvecklas för att passa in i en öppen processorarkitektur. Detta ger grundförutsättningar för smart industri.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 - Technology in the Service of Humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
