We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Forskningen vid Mälardalens universitet i samarbete med industriella aktörer kring molntjänster i rymden har nu kommersialiserats i tidig fas under varumärket SpaceCloud.

De första SpaceCloud-baserade lösningarna i rymden möjliggör nära realtidsinformation för bland annat precisionsjordbruk och vattenoptimering. Detta genom att lyfta upp maskininlärningsalgoritmer i rymden för att snabbt sortera data för en global och aktuell lägesbild. Satelliterna kan framåt ges nya förmågor via "appar" vilket är unikt och demokratiserar tillgången till rymddata. Svensk industri har inlett samarbete med bland annat Amazon Web Services för att skala ut SpaceCloud globalt.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 - Technology in the Service of Humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
