  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

Vår naturinspirerade gröna teknologi bygger på optimala kombinationer av nya katalytiska processer för omvandling av biomassa (t.ex. trä) till biobaserade kemikalier som kapsaicin. Forskningen har lett till flera patent som beviljats och bildandet av bolaget XP Chemistries. Vår gröna innovation kommer att användas i djurfoder för att minska användandet av antibiotika.

IVA’s 100 List 2022 - Technology in the Service of Humanity

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
