  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

Beräkningseffektiva kriterier för risk för sprickbildning i hjul och räls kopplade till analys av dynamisk samverkan mellan hjul och räls har utvecklats. Ytterligare forskning har identifierat kritiska lastnivåer vilka kan orsaka rälsbrott under olika driftsförhållanden. Detta har utvecklats till en internationell rekommendation fastställd av Internationella järnvägsunionen (UIC) vilken harmoniserar Europas larmgränser för hjulskador. Arbetet har tilldelats Chalmers pris för genomslag i samhället.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
