  The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy with a mission “...to promote engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society.” We bring together leading engineers, economists, researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the public sector, who contribute generously to IVA’s operations through their intellectual capital and their engagement.

  IVA believes in humanity’s capacity to contribute positively to society through the engineering and economic sciences. We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. We also recognise and encourage the efforts of others by awarding distinctions and grants.

För att öka livslängden på produkter samt öka cirkulariteten i användningen av vitvaror, prövar projektet om det är ekonomiskt, miljömässigt och socialt hållbart med ett system där tillverkare tillhandahåller vitvaror som en tjänst till bostadsbolag. Fullskaliga tester görs tillsammans med vitvaruföretaget Electrolux samt bostadsbolagen SKB, Förvaltaren AB och ByggVesta AB, där även uppkopplade produkter är en del av projektet. Innovationspotentialen och exportmöjligheterna bedöms vara stora.

IVA’s 100 List 2020 - Sustainable competitiveness

IVA’s 100 List 2020 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Sustainable competitiveness. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
