We run a number of projects and programmes, produce reports, knowledge bases and policy proposals, and organise open seminars and meetings nationwide. Världsbehovet av hjärttransplantationer är ca 300 000 st/år men det görs bara 6000 hjärttransplantationer/år pga. brist på donatorhjärtan. Det innebär att människor dör i kön i väntan på en hjärttransplantation. Artificiella hjärtan skulle kunna lösa denna brist men dom har en Akilleshäl i sin behandling: infektioner runt deras strömförsörjningskabeln. Detta problem löser Invivopower nu genom sin transkutana trådlösa energiöverföringsteknik för artificiella hjärtan. (transkutan=penetrerar ej huden)

IVA’s 100 List 2022 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.
