IVA's Smart Industry

Through IVA’s Smart industry project the Academy wanted to stimulate digital transformation in small and medium-sized enterprises by, for example, highlighting and sharing good examples. The project originates from Smart industry – a new industrialisation strategy for Sweden (Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications 2015) and mainly operated through the Smart Industry competition.

The World Uncertainty Index (WUI) has remained steady at an average of 30,000 over the past 17 years, with a temporary peak of 50,000 during the pandemic years. The latest index from October shows the remarkable figure of 122,000. The responsibility to take ownership of our own future is particularly important in times of great uncertainty.

Sveriges konkurrenskraft är beroende av att fler utbildar sig inom STEM, men i stället ser vi att andelen unga som väljer den inriktningen på gymnasiet minskar. Enligt ny forskning kan en förklaring vara vaga och otydliga kursplaner där matematikens betydelse för förståelse och engagemang har underskattats.
